During your day, there are probably a half dozen moments where you can't see, if only for a split second. Not like blinking of course, that's far too quick. Just that moment when you're takinf off your shirt, or wiping your face with a atowel. That briwf instant where you're plunged into darkness. Everytime this occurs, you're playing a roulette. A game. Unbeknownst to you, of course.
Everytime that happens there is something waiting, eagerly, to pull you into that darkness. That only happens if you lose, of course. One day you might open your eyes to find that you're not where you were before. There are unsolved missing person cases every week. Those people? they lost.

Wristbands
When you are admitted to a hospital, they place on your wrist a white wristband with your name on it. But there are other different colored wristbands which symbolize other things. The red wristbands are place on dead people.
There was one surgeon who worked on night shift in a school hospital. He had just finished an operation and was on his way down to the basement. He entered the elevator and there was just one person there. He casually chatted with the woman while the elevator descended.
When the elevator door opened, another woman was about to enter when the doctor almmed the close button and punched the button to the highest floor. Surprised, the woman reprimanded the doctor for being rude and asked why he did not let the other woman in.
The Doctor said "that was the woman I just operated on. she died while I was doing the operation. Didn't you see the red wristband she was wearing?"
The woman smiled, raised her arm, and said "Something like this?"

While you sleep
You know we are always watching, right? You read this, and it seems like words on a webpage, but we just have to let you know we are here. We se where you sit, blinded by the glow of your monitor from the rest of the world around you... that's what we want. We were that creak in the floor, as if someone was tip-toeing trough the hall. The house settling. Happens all the time. We were that quiet knock at your window. Just the wind, just the wind. It's okay, we don't want you while you're awake. We wait until you're asleep and we mock you with our slack jaws, laugh at you trough vocal chords dried with the blood of throats slit years ago. We kiss you with our decaying mouths and hope you don't wake up to see us there...
There have been times we have woken you, and we dash with our creaky tendons across the room. There we hide in shadows, until you convince yourself it was just a dream. We wait for the night that your lifeless body will dance with us, ripping yourself to fight rigor. Until then, we will make love to your sleep and impregnate you with nightmares. Sleep well, our love.

The Room
I've been lying down for hours now. It's 5:35 am and there's not much I can do. You know what the worst part about my situation is? I'm in the same room with my parents. They keep looking at me, and I can't help but look back and try not to cry or scream. Their eyes are focused on me and their mouths are wide open. There's the strong scent of blood and I feel so paralyzed with fear.
Here's the thing. The second I make any hint that I'm not asleep anymore, I'm completely fucked. I will die and there's nobody around to save me. I've been trying to think of a way out but the only idea I have is to rush for the door and run outside the front door and scream for help, hoping any neighbors hear me. It's risky, but if I stat here, I'll surely die. He's waiting for me to wake up and see his masterpiece.
You're probably wondering what's going on. I do get ahead of myself soemtimes.
About three hours ago, I heard screaming from the other side of the house. I got up and went to check on the noise before realzing I had to use the restroom. Instead of doing the smart thing and investigating, I used the bathroom first. I could've gotten myself killed right then from my stupid actions. But I actually did my business and took a peek outside the bathroom. There was blood on the carpet. I got very worried and ran back to my room, hiding under my sheets like the pussy I was. I tried to convince myself to go back to sleep, that it was just some really vivid dream or something.
But I heard my bedroom open. Like the terrified child I was, I peeked from under my blanket to see what was going on. I could see something dragging my dead parents into the room. It was not human, I can tell you that. It was hairless. with no eyes and no clothing. It walked like a caveman, with its back slouched as it draged my parents. But this thing was much smarter than any caveman. It was aware of what it was doing.
It propped my dad up on the edge of my bed, and made him face me. It then sat my mother down in the chair and positioned her towards me as well. It then started rubbing its hands upon the walls, staining them with blood and then drew a circle with the devil's pentagram in it. This thing had made what it would probably call a masterpiece. To finish it off, it scribbled a message onto the wall that I could not read in the darkness.
It then positioned itself under my bed, waiting to strike.
The scariest thing is now, my eyse have adjusted to the darkness since then and I can read the message on the wall. I don't want to look at it, because it's terrifying to tink about. But I feel I need to see, before I'm killed.
I peek at hte creature's masterpiece.

The Message
Don't dismiss this outright as the work of some raving lunatic. There's some sense to this story, if you'll just hear me out...
Look, we all wonder if time travel is possible, right? Well, let me tell you something... it is. I'm from the future, actually. It's a really great thing; getting to see the past, watching events unfold... stuff like that. We know more now than we ever would.
Behind all the fun, though, there's a more serious aspect. We aren't supposed to go in our own lifetime, and we are NEVER allowed to contact our past selves. Let me tell you, I'm breaking that rule right now. Yes, kid, you're talking to yourself. Your future self. I'm going to be executed for this, but you know what? I accept that. I'm preventing something by talking to you that's worse than death. I can't tell you outright what to do, because filters would catch it. This is the closes I can get, trust me. I can however send a little message.
You should probably read the first word of every paragraph, now.

The Girl in the photograph
One school day, a boy named Tom was sitting in class and doing math. It was six more minuts until after school. as he was dooing his homework, something caught his eye.
His desk was next to the window, and he turned and looked to the grass outside. It looked like a picture. When school was over, he ran to the spot where he saw it. He ran fast so that no one else could grab it.
He picked it up and smiled. It had a picture of the most beautiful girl he had ever seen. She had a dress with tights on a nd red shoes, and her hand was formed into a peace sign.
She was so beautiful he wanted to meet her, so he ran all over hte school and asked everyone if they knew her or have ever seen her before. But everyone he asked said "No." He was devastated.
When he was home, he asked his older sister if she knew the girl, but unfortunately she also said "No." It was very late, so Tom walked up the stairs, placed the picture on his bedside table and went to sleep.
Int he middle of the night Tom was awakened by a tap on his window. It was like a nail tappng. He got scared. After the tapping he heard a giggle. He saw a shadow near his window, so he got out of his bed, walked toward his window, opened it up and followed the giggling. By the time he reached it, it was gone.
The next day again he asked his neighbours if they knew her. Everybody said, "sorry, no". When his mother came home he even asked her if she knew her. She said "No." He went to his room, placed the picture on his desk and fell asleep.
Once again he was awakened by a tapping. He took the picture and followed the giggling. He walkedd across the road, when suddenly he got hit by a var. He was dead with hte picture in his hand.
The driver got out the car and tried to help him, but it was too late. Suddenly he saw the picture and picked it up.
He saw a cute girl holding up three fingers.

Persuaded
It's been 2 weeks since this whole thing started.
It all started with a tanker accident. It was all over the news. Everyone thought it was just another oil spill. there were plenty of volunteers. Plenty of people wanting to help the poor defenseless animals. Plenty of victims. Within hours of the tanker accident, it started happening. The animals had gone crazy, they were scratching and biting the clean up volunteers. They said it was an adverse effect to whatever was in that tanker.
Rescue workers were still trying to get the crew out of the ship. They could hear screaming inside. Screams to open the doors. But that's when all went to hell. As soon as they cut the door out.
There was 6 minuts of broadcast before it went silent. 6 minutes of screaming and agony. The ship crew attacked the rescue workers like rabid baboons. Breaking bones and tearing flesh. the pople on the shore weren't fairing any better. Those that had been attacked by animalos were attacking everyone else. It was worse than any war zone report, it was sheer brutality, and yet the broadcast still went for 6 minutes. 6 minutes and then blank faces. Nobody could explain what was happening. They tried to continue with regular news, the economy, the weather, a cute human interest story, but they couldn't make us unsee what we saw.
I tried to continue with my regular existence but every time I switched on the news or walked by a news stand it was there. This big mistery. They had some explanations, some kind of infectio, brain parasites, but it didn't
matter. It wasn't an infection we were afraid of, it was them.
4 days after the initial report, a state of emergency was raised. And yet we'd all seen this before. Every zombie movie ever. People didn't know who to trust. People were stockpiling food and weapons. Some tried to flee but it seems every zombie movie was right. they didn't make it. 3 days later they arrived in my town.
I expected moans, shuffling corpses, dismemberment, but that's where the movies lied. They ran trough the streets, screaming. I remember running to my front door as fast as I could, locking, barricading, doing nything to make sure it would stay shut, and then I headed for the window. I was on the second story and I could see the carnage. They were unstoppable. They were aware.
A group of them made their way trough a building across the street. They jumped straight trough plate glass windows. Even the shards slicing trough them made no difference, theu just kept coming. My barricade wasn't going to hold. I rushed around my flat, frabbing supplies and jamming them into the most secure room of the flat. I went back for one last look across the street, and I wish I hand't. In a second story window, my face met one of theirs. they knew where I was. I quickly dashed into the room and locked the door.
I don't have any kind of panic room, or a secure basemente, so the safest place I could think of was my bathroom. no windows, one door with a lock. I had filled my sink and bathtub full of water, so I could stay for a while. So I sat there in the dark room, with the distant screams in my ears.
I began to feel like I may have over-reacted, it had been 2 hours and no sign of them. It actually got quieter and I thought they had moved on. Maybe I could leave the room, get to the kitchen. Grab more food to wait it out. A crash came from the front door. The sound of someone running full force into the door and knocking down the barrier behind it. There was a couple more crashes before I knew they were inside. Rapid footsteps moving around the flat, a couple screams and then a bang on the wall besides me. My eyes were open to their widest, even in the pitch black darkness of the room. Another bang, and another. They knew I was there adn they knew I was scared.
This was the zombie nightmare I had been expecting from the start. I had nowhere to run. There was only so much time before they would break in. I sat with my back to the door, hoping my extra weight would make iy harder for them to get in. And then it got worse.
"Why don't you open the door?"
A voice in the opposite side of the door. No screams or moans, just a quiet, whispery voice. And then ore of them.
"We've come for you."
"You'll be happier if you open the door"
"It's not so bad..."
The whispery voices, became a cacophony of noise trying to persuade me, to break me, to fool me. I had heard that the moaning of zombies would drive people insane but this ws worse, a siren call. I sat in the darkness and hoped and prayed that they'd get bored. But they don't get bored and they don't leave. I managed to use the mirror to peak under the door, only to be greeted by horrible unblinking eyes, blood smeared faces, screams and more horrible whispers. That was two days ago...
I don't know what to do anymore... maybe it won't be so bad...

The Subway Ride
I live in the UK. A colleague at work heard this from her boyfriend. He works with someone who said that his sister's friend got the last tube (subway train) home a couple of weeks ago. When she got on there were 5 rows of seats empty but the last row had three people sitting in them. As she was a little afraid, she want and sat opposite these people. She settled down and looked up to see the woman sitting opposite her really staring at her.
So she got out her book and started to read but eery time she looked up the woman was still staring. The train pulled into the next station and a man got on. He looked up and down the carriage, took a look at her and the people opposite her and came and sat next to her. As the train left the station the man leaned back and said quietly in ther ear "If you know what's good fot you, you'll get off at the next station with me". she was scared but thought the best idea would be to get off at the next station as he asked as theer might be pople around.
The next stop comes up and she leaves the train with this man. The man says "Thank God, I didn't mean to scare you but I had to get you off that train. I'm a doctor and the woman sitting opposite you was dead and the two men either side were propping her up". According to the guy who told the story, the girl and the doctor called the police who stopped the train at the next station.

Focus
Did you ever see one of those videos where you are asked to look for, or follow a specific thing through out the video? Then, at the end, they reveal that as were watching, something large and intrusive moved around in plain sight and you never noticed it. It's frightening how often that happens, like how I just moved from the doorway into your room as you read this...

The babysitter
A few years ago, a mother and father needed a break, so they headed out for a night on the town and called their most trusted babysitter. When the babysitter arrived, the two children were already fast asleep in bed. The babysitter just got to sit around and make sure everything was okay with the children.
Later that night, the babysitter called the parents and asked if she could make some food. "Of course", the parents said. The babysitter also had one final request...
She asked if she could cover up the clown statue in the corner of the bedroom with a blanket or cloth because it freaked her out.
The phone line was silent for a moment, and the father said, "take the children and get out of the house... we will call the police. We do not have a clown statue"

No Through Road
On December 17th 2008 four 17 year old boys were found dead in their car at an abandoned farm, 10 miles from their hometown. This video contains the unedited footage from the camera belonging to one of the boys, also found in the car.
Amazing piece of cinematography, as the comments say, these guys have a future in movie-making.
Wow this can't be happening;

TOKYO (AP) — As Japan struggles with the aftermath of a catastrophic earthquake and tsunami in the north, a volcano in southern Japan has resumed eruptions. Japan's Meteorological Agency has issued a warning saying that mountain is shooting out gas, boulders and ash after a couple weeks of inactivity. The volcano is located nearly 1,000 miles from the epicenter of Friday's magnitude 8.9 earthquake.
